CURLING:        LEDUC awarded future Alberta Curling Championships

EDMONTON, ALBERTA – The Alberta Curling Federation (ACF) is pleased to announce that it has awarded the following events to the Leduc Recreation Centre:

• 2012 Alberta Women’s Scotties (Arena)
• 2013 Alberta Men’s Boston Pizza Cup (Arena)
• 2014 Alberta Junior Championships (Curling Club)

“The ACF is extremely excited to have the opportunity of working with all of the stakeholder groups in Leduc on these championships” stated ACF President Don Isaman.  “Our organization looks forward to showcasing our elite male, female and junior athletes in the outstanding Leduc Recreation Centre.”

“The ACF has had the privilege of working with the Leduc Curling Club and the City of Leduc for many years on our highly successful Alberta Rocks Camps and the awarding of these championships is a natural progression from that relationship” added ACF Executive Director Jim Pringle.

Dates for all three of events will be finalized in the coming twelve month period.
